During my two-day workshop on mediumship, I found myself immersed in group readings, a practice where you connect with spirits and deliver messages to participants who resonate with them. Despite feeling a bit nervous initially, once I stood in front of the room, it was as if I transcended into another realm, detached from myself and more connected to the spirit world.
However, it was the one-on-one readings that truly startled me. Throughout the weekend, a persistent voice echoed “SAM” in the distance. Each time, I announced it to the group, yet no one claimed the connection. That is until the end, when Allyson, a fellow participant, consistently nudged me to partner up. She joined the workshop seeking solace in connecting with her departed loved ones. As we finally paired up, her anticipation added pressure, but I pressed on, reminding myself it was all practice.
Our session focused on Psychometry, reading objects for insights. Allyson handed me a weighty black metal rod resembling an antique railroad nail. As I closed my eyes, visions flashed before me like scenes from a movie reel. I saw red boots, grand mansions with intricate staircases, and splashes of vivid red paint. Yet, the most vivid image was of a man dozing off in an office chair, but the dozing looked different, which I hesitantly shared with Allyson.
To my astonishment, Allyson’s eyes filled with sadness as she confirmed that Sam, her late husband, had indeed passed away in an office chair, never awakening from a nap. She revealed more details, including Sam’s gift of red boots and his profession as a stair welder in grand mansion developments. She confessed she had sensed Sam’s presence and nudged me to connect with him.
The reading left me awestruck. Connecting Allyson with Sam brought her solace, yet it also stirred a whirlwind of emotions and self-realizations within me. In this workshop, Spirit continuously whispered, “This is your gift.” after every reading. So, with newfound clarity, I asked myself, “What now?”
